I just bought a pro skateboard! Expensive as hell. Why? Because I’ve always wanted one. Am I a PRO? Nope. But, I’m not as bad a beginner should be. I wanna collect ’em. Different boards, different colors, but I also wanna skate. It’s fun. My son loves it. I just try to stay away from the life threatening stuff. Like, you’re not gonna catch me jumping down any ramps or tryna’ skate across a rail. Baby steps, people. Baby steps. Lol. The best part? The best skate park around here let’s girls skate for free as long as they wear their pads and helmet… which of couse I bought. My helmet is pink. Lol. Anyway. This is awesome. I love skate videos. The full movie is on Vimeo and I could only find the trailer on Youtube, so here’s the original post on fubiz. How’s your French? **Smiles**
I love this video, how soulful it is and how beautifully made. I also love the fact that it has a great message to go along with it, “We Must Go On” (‘cuz time doesn’t stand still, right?) Original post of fubiz.
Kinda’ short, but really awesome. I have no idea how to make a video game, but if I could it would definitely be out of the box like this one even if it was just for an advertisement. TV stars from the ’80s in game mode. This guy took it back to when I was born. Lol. Whatcha’ think? Leave a comment. Youtube comments are in Italian and original post on Fubiz is in French, so good luck! Lol. Hey, I understood it. Most of it… at least. Lol. Art direction from Juan Pablo Kessler and pixel animation by Gabriel H. Fermanelli. Good job, guys. Very cute.
Portal 2, I don’t even play it. What is it, on Xbox? I don’t play Xbox. Lol. But, I DO have a lot of other gaming systems. “Dad” has an Xbox. Anyway, I know what a portal is and this video pretty much explains the game. So, I’d probably want to play it if I had the opportunity. Plus Mitchell Davis made it look really fun in his LiveLavaLive video on YouTube. But, that guy makes anything look fun. Check out the video, or ahem, short movie. Original post on AllThingsD. #NoEscape.
All right. So, I’m a little mad. I was gonna’ show you guys the video of how to clean your Converses but, it’s not on Youtube or anything, so I can only share the direct link – How to Spring Clean… Your Converses! But, this video I DID find on Converse’s Youtube page is pretty awesome, too. It shows a beginning-to-end build of a community-based Recording Studio called Rubber Tracks structured / made by Converse. Watch! As far as the cleaning goes… I’m gonna have to rewind that. Cuz’ I’ve got a pair that need cleaning right now… if I even fit ’em, anymore.
This video is awesome. I swear, they really go through a lot of trouble to make sure these bags don’t fall apart. Who knows if it actually withstood all the damage in real life. But, it really is cool to watch the damage get done. 🙂 Step 1: Check out the video. Step 2: Get the BAG! Follow the link to FREITAG or just check out the post from DEVOUR. Aye. It’s in the baaaaag!! Cheesey, I know. But, I had to say it. Also peeped on Flud App.
When you think of Skateboarding, do you picture India? Probably not. Well, maybe you should ‘cuz new trend or not, there seems to be plenty of skaters turning up, there. I mean, there’s teenagers everywhere. I bet in every country across the globe, there’s some kid on his skateboard riding ramps and jumping rails. Anyway, me and my kid are really into the culture and this week he’ll be taking his first lesson. I love how cool of a mom I am. Watch the video. Leave a comment. Pretty cool. I’ve never even heard of Oxelo Skateboards. And crap! They’re writing in French, too. Come on, Chick, brush up! Again… from the Flud App.
The Lifehacker question: Does solitude boost your creativity? I think so. But, the main reason I am posting this is because of the way the poem is performed by video. It is really nicely produced and makes total sense. Some people… and yes, I know some… are afraid to be alone. Some people feel like if they are alone for too long, all the bad stuff in their life will float to the surface and they will be left in an everlasting abyss of depression or at least be pissed for the next couple of hours. And I do agree. It happens. But, you can’t run from your problems, always. It feels much better to know you have faced them. And being alone is actually a lot more fun and peaceful than being around a bunch of fake people you know won’t be there for you when you need them. As far as the creativity part, solitude definitely, is my propeller. When I am working on a project, I don’t like to be bothered. When I am drawing, I don’t like people to look until the finished piece. When I’m writing, I don’t want you to read it until I’m done. Writing for me flows, Design takes brain power. Sometimes (most times), I’m angrily up at 2 in the morning designing. And I would totally prefer to be alone during these hours. So, yes. Solitude does boost creativity. At least for me. And like The 99 Percent Blog, I also believe that collaboration is great…. for idea-storming. But, when the work happens… it needs to be solo. Great job Tanya Davis! I had to search for her name or else I would have said, “Great job, Nameless Chick!” You can also watch her video straight from Youtube.
I am looking for a case for the iPad 2 and I want it to be something totally unconventional, or at least something I don’t see everybody with. When I saw the video for the GorillaMobile Ori for iPad by JOBY , I was in love. I probably watched the video 3 times, not only for the product, but for the design and video production. I love it. Here’s the sad part though, and something I always have to be sure to double-check. It’s not for the iPad 2, at least not yet. The updated version of the case will be making it’s debut in June. Thank God, it’s almost the end of May…. can’t wait.
Sorry, I feel like I’m a week late on this one. At the time when it happened, I was in no mood to blog. I was too busy delivering a truckload of angry tweets to Twitter… seriously. But, now that that’s all over, the tweets, not the situation (Well, that’s over, too. Kinda’ shut that one down.), I bring to you the the latest news break ever. Here goes. So, there’s this guy named Mark Bao, right? He’s like this college student at Bentley University (never heard of it), and about two months ago, he had his Macbook Air stolen on campus. Cool thing, after the incident, this 18-year-old kid discovered he could still access his browser history along with some of the stuff on the hard drive. Guess what was one of the first things this idiot thief did? Photo Booth. Yep, that’s right. A snapshot. But, no need for that, this next thing is hilarious. So, if he didn’t think taking a picture was quite enough to incriminate himself, making a video certainly was, you Dummy. Mark Bao found the video and posted it to Youtube, embarrassing the hell out of the poor, little guy. He was asked by the criminal to take it down, but declined and here he is, dancing horribly to ‘Make it Rain’ by Tyga. He was able to find the perpetrator on Facebook and realizing he lived near his own dorm, planned on taking the information to the Police and Campus Authorities. But, not after having his laughs, first. Bao used Back-Up software, Backblaze to access his Mac while it was stolen. Also during this period, decided to purchase a new Mac laptop in the process. Later news, he plans to sell the recovered Air, donating all proceeds to Japan. Most info found on Engadget.
